JavaScript runs in a web browser and interacts with the other standard web technologies, HTML and CSS. All you need is a code editor ( Brackets is a great one to try) and the web browser of your choice. JavaScript comes in many flavors, but I'll start with the basic version, commonly called "Vanilla JavaScript."
